Garfield Class of '67
Fifty Year Reunion

Dear Classmate,

The brand new Hyatt Regency at Southport has been chosen to host our 50th Class Reunion. The 12 story, 347-room Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Southport will be completed in June - just in time for our August 25th reunion dinner.

We hope to treat your senses to a culinary journey with the Hyatt's signature dinner options of Northwest salmon or Northwest farm raised chicken. Before and after we dine, we can meander in and out of open air spaces with an approachable and accessible bar as well as comfortable bar seating. Music from the state of the art sound system will include songs of the 60s including playlist access to every number one hit (Billboard and R & B) from 1964 through 1968 - and another 6,000 songs of all genres in reserve. Easy listening music will soothe the senses during the pre-dinner reception. A robust dance floor will be in place for those who continue to believe they have 'the moves.'

We are confident this beautiful waterfront setting - with all its charm and glory, will add to the festive feelings of excitement as we exchange hellos, connect with classmates and party. Garfield will dine in the Lake Washington Ballroom, with superior acoustics, state-of-the-art technology, and abundant natural light. The 5,000 square foot ballroom also features floor to ceiling windows with accompanying deck/terrace areas showcasing views of the lake, mountains and Bellevue Skyline. Additional adjacent space offers exclusive environments for registration and check-in, class picture, coat check and small intimate conversations.

Any of our Garfield Family choosing to stay at the Hyatt Regency in our reserved block of rooms will discover an amenity rich hotel. The hotel's onsite recreational services include an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, an indoor spa, and indoor/outdoor exercise facilities with direct access to Gene Coulon park. Our classmates can stroll or play in the neighboring 57 acre Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. The park offers walking trails, tennis and volleyball courts, boat launches, fishing docks and a bird sanctuary - even an Ivar's Restaurant. Retail therapy can be found at The Landing, a mere one-tenth of a mile from the hotel. The Landing features 800,000 square feet of retail and over 20 restaurants, entertainment venues, and a movie theater.

The Reunion Committee of the Garfield High School Class of 1967 looks forward to welcoming you to the Hyatt Regency lake Washington on August 25, 2017. Please visit this website often for updates.

We will also need everyone's help in locating and inviting classmates to insure our 50th is the most successful reunion ever!

All the best,

Garfield High School Class of '67 Reunion Committee
